Excellent stay and would recommend to friends who want a few days away

The location right on the river was gorgeous. The rooms all very clean. The staff very helpful and friendly.

Chipped tiles on the wall of the pool but nothing that couldn’t be sorted also I would have like the pool to be marked where the deep end started and also the depth of the deep end and shallow end. I know from experience with our pool we had to have this clearly marked.

Wonderful location. Hotel was great, very clean and good value on food and drinks. Swimming pool was great and a wonderful view across to Spain.

Great location. Lovely gardens and swimming pool. The hotel was very clean staff friendly. Not much food choice but what they had was good. snacky type food. My only complaint was the bed was very uncomfortable for me and my husband. Overall very good.

Great mini breal

Very clean rooms. Lovely pool and close to village. Great river beach nearby. You can get ferry over to Spain and you can do a zip wire across the river from Spain to just next to the hotel...

The pillow was not great.. No fridge or kettle in room.

The hote in all area's was spotlessly clean . Very friendly staff, quiet for a relaxing few days with exceptional views

Only negative for me was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and small fridge would have ticked all boxes.

A peaceful, well run hotel in a spectacular location.

The hotel is a lovely, well run local business, in a quiet, rural location. The views are spectacular. The pool is excellent and all the food at the hotel is homemade, and the staff are lovely.

It would be great if there were a few more vegetarian options on the menu. They serve burgers and fries, which are very popular, but they don't offer a vegetarian burger, which is a shame.

Comfortable hotel in attractive location

Clean, comfortable, good location, good breakfast, great pool

The small double room was actually a twin-bedded room, not so good for a single adult (superior room was great, however)

Great little hotel for short stay

Excellent staff. Great pool and pool area. Very comfortable bed. Very quiet location. 10 minute walk to the town. Lovely small balcony with a view of the river. Everything very clean. Reception staff very helpful and Bruno in the bar area was very good. Tended to everyone's needs and even kept professional with ignorant guests. I would definitely recommend this place.

Everything was great however bathroom could probably do with a refurbishment. Mirror was broken.... metal lamps rusted over....non slip mat for bath was in horrible state. Having said this...the water pressure was great and everything was very clean. Might be worth investing in a mini fridge for rooms especially with hot season to have cold drinks.

Beautiful river view.

The location with river view, amazing. The water pressure and a comfortable bed. The lady that did the check in and the gentleman that served us at the restaurant were very helpful and kind.

The very strong smell of bleach when we arrived we had to open the windows that let the warmth escape, maybe some matts on the floor during the winter would be good to make the room feel more confortable with lower temperatures.

Fabulous setting, great breakfast, nice staff, shame about some aspects of our room

The setting, right on the river, is lovely, but unfortunately there's no direct access to the river for boats. There is a pontoon but it was closed and we got the impression it didn't belong to the hotel (not sure). The public areas were all very clean and well-presented and the buffet breakfast was excellent - varied, lots of it and the staff were helpful and supplied more food when items ran low. Our room was a good size, with king size bed. We had a balcony, facing the river, but unfortunately the cold/wet weather meant we didn't use it (it was December!). There was a huge built-in wardrobe, but only 3 or 4 hangers. Good air con/heating system in the bedroom. The room was always cleaned, bed made, and the staff did a good job. There's a lovely roof terrace area, which wasn't in use when we stayed, but in summer looks as if it could be a great place to sit and eat/drink, with views across the river. They just need to fix the many wobbly paving slabs up there! Free parking onsite. 10 min walk into the town, with a few bars and eating places around. Great 10 euro menu at the 'beach bar'. Pleasant walk up the hill, just behind the hotel, to a ruined Islamic castle. We didn't use the pool as it was cold in winter, but it looked nice!

We had an ensuite but unfortunately the ventilation was awful, with just one tiny window. During our 4-night stay we showered every day and the bathroom never dried out and neither did the towels. By the end of our stay the ceiling was dripping with condensation - we actually got dripped on when on the loo - and the floor was therefore always wet in patches. There is no heated towel rail so the bathroom and towels couldn't get dry. I'm sure this would be no problem in the summer, but in the winter it felt cold and damp, which permeated into the bedroom area, despite there being a climate control/air con system installed in the bedroom. I'm glad I took slippers to wear on the tiled floors - again, wouldn't be a problem in summer! The shower, over the bath, had a split in it so water spurted out of the handle as well as from the shower head, soaking the floor. Tile paint was peeling off above/around the bath. It would have been helpful to have more areas to put things in the bedroom. The narrow console table (necessarily narrow due to room width) could be longer - or two of them, and/or with drawers? The bedside tables were small with no drawer or lower shelf. Therefore there was very limited space to just put 'stuff'. As mentioned - huge wardrobe, few hangers. There were some drawers for clothing in the wardrobe but they didn't feel very clean. All in all, we liked being there (we were there to meet up with my daughter and partner who are travelling and who had their yacht on the river) but the damp bathroom and the lack of space to put things was disappointing.

Comfortable, relaxing stay.

The hotel was clean and well appointed. Close enough to walk to town center. Staff was friendly.

I felt the restaurant menu was weak, but it could be because it is off season.

It was a very relaxing stay, with wonderful views across the Guadiana River to Sanlucar in Spain.
